Open Source Leadership Summit

The CIP Project will be at on-site at the Linux Foundation’s Open Source Leadership Summit on March 12-14 at Half Moon Bay, California. Urs Gleim, the CIP Governing Board Chair and Head of Smart Embedded Systems, Siemens AG, will give a presentation titled “Be Smart, Stay Smart – Open Source for Long-Living Products” on Thursday, March 14 at 11:40 am – 12:10 pm PST. Urs will discuss the journey over the last two decades of Open Source Software usage and re-distribution as part of products up to strategic projects. Using CIP as an example, the session will cover how to internally disseminate the Open Source efforts and what companies can learn from Open Source governance models.
